Newborn basics faqs
Should I buy newborn size or go straight to 0-3M?
Newborn fits up to around 8lbs and many babies outgrow it within two to three weeks. If you're only buying one size, 0-3M gets more wear. Buy a few newborn pieces if your baby is arriving small or you want a proper fit for the first photos.
How many newborn clothes do I actually need?
Most parents find 6 to 8 onesies, 6 sleepsack, and a handful of pairs of socks and a beanie covers the first few weeks. You'll be changing outfits around two or three times a day, so plan around laundry cycles rather than outfits.
What should I buy for a newborn baby wardrobe?
Onesies, soft pants, beanies, and socks are the pieces you'll reach for daily. Our newborn gift boxes bundle the essentials if you'd rather not build it piece by piece.
Are Little Bipsy newborn basics unisex?
Yes. Our newborn range is designed in neutral colours and simple prints so everything mixes with the rest of the wardrobe.
How do I wash newborn clothes before the baby arrives?
Wash on cold with a gentle, fragrance-free detergent and tumble dry low. Skip fabric softener, which coats fibres and reduces softness over time.
